How to Use TLDix with Claude: Track Domain, SSL and Hosting Renewals in Chat

Connect TLDix to Claude to check domain and SSL expiry dates, see which client renewals are due and add domains, hosting and licences to your list from a conversation.

If you look after websites for clients, renewals arrive from everywhere: a domain at one registrar, hosting at another, an SSL certificate that renews itself until one day it does not, and a list of plugin and SaaS licences that live in someone's inbox. TLDix keeps them in one list and emails you before each date. With the TLDix connector for Claude, you can now check and update that list by asking Claude in plain language.

What the TLDix connector does

Claude connectors use the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to give Claude tools from another service. The TLDix connector adds ten tools. Three of them work for anyone, without a TLDix account:

⚡ TLDix Instant Tools

Inspect Any Domain and Web Hosting Instantly

Inspect the infrastructure of any domain or website in seconds using TLDix WHOIS Domain, Hosting Lookup and Domain Oracle (AI).

🔍 Domain WHOIS 🖥️ Hosting Lookup 🔮 Domain Oracle ✨ Sign Up Free →
  • Domain lookup: registration status, expiry and registration dates, days left, registrar, status codes and nameservers, from WHOIS and RDAP.
  • Bulk expiry check: up to 25 domains at once, sorted by what expires first.
  • SSL certificate check: issuer, validity dates, days left and the names the certificate covers.

The other seven work with your TLDix account. Claude can show your plan and usage, list your tracked domains, list everything that renews within a period you choose, add domains with the alert days you want, add hosting and licence renewals, and remove items you no longer manage. Removing is marked as a destructive action, so Claude asks for your approval first.

Things you can ask

  • "Which of my domains, hosting plans and licences renew in the next 30 days?"
  • "Check when these expire: clientone.com, clienttwo.co.uk, clientthree.de"
  • "Is the SSL certificate on example.com about to expire?"
  • "Add acme-bakery.com to TLDix and alert me 30 and 7 days before it expires."
  • "Add Elementor Pro for the Acme Bakery site, renewing on 2027-03-14."
  • "Make a table of everything that expires before the end of the year, grouped by registrar."

Because Claude can combine the results with the rest of the conversation, it is also useful for drafting renewal reminders to clients or planning which invoices to send this month.

How to connect TLDix in Claude

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors. If TLDix appears in the directory, select it and choose Connect. Otherwise choose Add custom connector, name it TLDix and enter https://tldix.com/mcp.
  2. For authentication, choose sign in when the server asks, so public lookups work straight away.
  3. Start a chat and ask about a domain. The first time Claude needs your account, it shows a Connect button. Sign in to TLDix, choose Allow access, and Claude finishes the request.

In Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http tldix https://tldix.com/mcp, then use /mcp to sign in when you want account tools.

No account yet? Create a free TLDix account. The free plan covers 20 domains and 10 hosting or licence items, with no card required. Step-by-step details and the full tool list are on the TLDix for Claude page.

Privacy and control

You sign in on tldix.com, not inside Claude, so your TLDix password is never shared with Claude. TLDix gives Claude a token that only works for your own list, and you can see and disconnect connected apps at any time under Integrations → Claude in your TLDix dashboard. TLDix does not receive your Claude conversations, only the tool requests Claude sends, such as the domain you asked about. The privacy policy has a section on the connector.

Good to know

Domain lookups may be cached for up to 48 hours, so a renewal made a few minutes ago can take a while to show. Plan limits apply to items added through Claude in the same way as items added in the dashboard. Alerts for items you add through Claude are sent by email like any other TLDix alert.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a TLDix account to use the connector?
No for domain lookups, bulk expiry checks and SSL checks. Yes for anything that reads or changes your own list, such as upcoming renewals or adding a domain. A free account is enough.
Does Claude see my TLDix password?
No. You sign in on tldix.com and approve access there. Claude only receives a token for your account, which you can revoke under Integrations → Claude.
Does it work in Claude Code?
Yes. Run claude mcp add --transport http tldix https://tldix.com/mcp and sign in with /mcp when you need account tools.
Can Claude delete my domains?
Claude can stop tracking an item in TLDix, which only removes it from your TLDix list and stops its alerts. It does not touch the domain at your registrar, and Claude asks you to confirm first.
